Swing Dance
Jumptown welcomes social dancers to this weekly event at Café CODA, Madison's home for Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa! Café CODA is Madison’s premier jazz space and the coolest place to be; located at 1224 Williamson St. Café CODA has a selection of tap and bottled beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as soda, lemonade, and other non-alcoholic beverages. A 20 minute beginner-friendly lesson will start promptly at 8pm. The event is 18+ friendly. $10 cover is requested, payable by cash or card. At Jumptown events, masking will be optional by default. However, if the CDC Covid-19 Community Level for Dane County is "High" on the event date, then masks will be required. Proof of vaccination will be required to dance.

No partner or experience required. 2–4pm: Social dancing.

Jeremy Mohney & His Band!
We're sprucing up our typical Wednesday night social dance with a visit from Jeremy Mohney & His Band! For over a decade, Jeremy Mohney has led one of Colorado’s most popular swing bands. His spirited renditions of jazz classics and original compositions in the Swing style give him and his group a unique and authentic dimension. Whether playing a jam-packed ballroom for dancers or playing for lovers of music in an intimate club, Mohney has the charm to capture the attention of any audience. Mohney has played such well-known Colorado venues as the Gold Hill Inn, Mercury Cafe and Colorado Gypsy Jazz Festival. His band is often booked for tours around the US including engagements in Chicago, Boston and New York City. The event is 18+ friendly. $20 cover is requested, payable by cash or card at the door. Dance Lesson: 8:00pm Band Begins: 8:40pm Dancing and live music will be hosted in Aubergine. A selection of tap and bottled beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as soda, lemonade, and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available next door at Café CODA.
